What are some of your memories of the COVID-19 pandemic? An exhibit at the Providence Public Library shares highlights from thousands of pandemic stories collected as part of a project documenting life under COVID. We spoke with Kate Mason, Associate Professor of Anthropology at Brown University, and Sarah Willen, Associate Professor of Anthropology at the University of Connecticut. They’re the co-founders of the Pandemic Journaling Project. Also, Rhode Island cities and towns are required to have a certain percentage of affordable housing — but few actually meet that goal. We hear a story Newport Bureau Reporter Cheryl Hatch about an affordable housing advocate who was priced out of his hometown. And, we have an interview and performance from Providence collage pop musician Asher White. Plus, the week in politics, and a few tips on what to do this weekend.
We go in-depth on these stories and more in this week’s episode of The Weekly Catch.
